Alubat Ovni 455CC for sale
Chance of a lifetime

We decided to sell Alita because we aim for an even more sturdy, expedition type yacht for our next destinations (Northwest-Passage, Antarctica). So this is your once of a lifetime oportunity to own a very special yacht. It is hull number six of only seven 455CC built, none of which has seen close as many improvements. Looks of awe garantueed in every harbor of the world!

Alita is a luxurious, safe, fast and elegant cruising yacht. She was built and equiped for the remote destinations of this planet. In this version the well proven Ovni-concept of aluminum hull and retractable center blade, was joined by the comfort of a center cockpit and the beauty of a round bilge look. She offers shallow draft, outstanding protection against collision or lightning and performs really well in gale and storm conditions.

Alita was originally purchased in 2004 by an Englishman, who spared no expense outfitting her. She sports a cherry wood interior, welded cleats and of course the hull is isolated above the waterline, which is essential for metal yachts - not only in the colder climates, but also in the tropics.

Since 2011 we are the second owners of Alita and have sailed around 40.000  nautical miles. We crossed the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, went through Brazil, Argentina and Chile around South America, jumped the big puddle via Easter Island, rounded New Zealand twice and explored near about every remote island in the South Pacific. Our last trip was against the prevailing winds from New Zealand to Alaska. In all this time we have never felt unsafe on Alita or wished we were anywhere else!

Many advertised yachts claim to be outfitted for the blue, but Alitas all around complete inventory list leaves nothing at all to be desired. Over the years we have tested and improved every aspect of it and she is as close to perfect as a yacht can get. To name only the most major projects: extra sturdy aluminium solar panel holder 2012, central heating 2013, fixed dodger and sun roof 2015, new main boom and main sail 2015, new fridges and freezers 2015, new windlass 2017.

Of course the yacht and all the gear are continously serviced and defects are repaired immediately. Alita is upkept to the highest standard. Most people who come aboard believe her to be new. Again only the most major projects: hull under the waterline sandblasted and repainted with International paints 2014, all new shrouds and stays 2015, the whole deck sandblasted and repainted with International Awlgrib 2017.

Interested? We are still sailing Alita in Alaska, Canada and the US West Coast. Viewings, day sails or even longer passages can be arranged.

Worldwide delivery and partial financing is negotiable.
